Tom Brady reiterates he's coming back following win in Super Bowl LIII: 'Doesn't change anything'
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady confirmed what everyone already knew Sunday: He’s coming back. Following the Patriots’ 13-3 win in Super Bowl LIII, Brady made it clear he wants a shot at another ring.

When asked whether he was planning to return for next season, the 41-year-old Brady told CBS’s Tracy Wolfson winning another Super Bowl “doesn’t change a thing.” That is consistent with the message Brady has been sending for quite some time now. He said there was a zero percent chance he would retire after the game and has expressed a desire to play until he’s 45.
Super Bowl LIII was more of a defensive battle, but Brady had an efficient game. He finished the night 21 of 35, with 262 yards. He mostly recovered after throwing an interception on his first pass attempt of the game.
Despite his age, Brady was mostly the same player during the regular season. He passed for 4,355 yards and 29 touchdowns this season. When the games mattered most, he rose to the occasion, leading the Patriots to yet another Super Bowl win.
At this point, there’s not much more Brady has to prove by taking the field every Sunday. With six Super Bowl rings, he’s already regarded as one of the best — if not the best — quarterbacks of all time. Brady is coming back not just because he wants to, but because he can. He’s still a good player.
Brady coming back ensures the Patriots’ window remains open for at least one more season. Age-related decline is always going to be a concern moving forward, but until he shows any signs of weakness, Brady and the Patriots will be a major threat to win it all again next season.
