Woman dies after being found trapped, frozen to ground under vehicle in hospital parking garage

Authorities in Wisconsin are investigating after a woman was found trapped underneath a vehicle in a hospital parking garage early on Friday morning.

Deputies with the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office responded to Froedtert Memorial Hospital in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, around 3:45 a.m. over reports of a person spotted underneath a vehicle, WITI reports.

First responders discovered the victim unconscious and trapped underneath a moderately damaged vehicle, which had crashed into a wall inside the parking structure.

The unidentified woman, who was bleeding from the head, had a weak pulse and was frozen to the ground, according to Faithe Colas, director of public affairs with the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office.

There were no occupants inside of the vehicle.

Officials with the Wauwatosa Fire Department responded shortly thereafter and began attempting to free the woman. Once she had been thawed from the ground, she was transported to the hospital's trauma center, where she was pronounced dead at 4:21 a.m.

The woman's death is currently being investigated as a homicide and an autopsy is pending, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
