Junior with cerebral palsy nails buzzer-beater shot

High school junior Andrew Regan made a name for himself on Friday by hitting an unbelievable half-court shot as the buzzer sounded.

"It all happened so quickly, he just stopped, launched and it was all net and the crowd went crazy," Regan’s mom Paula explained to CBS4.

Cherry Creek high school’s unified basketball team gives players with all different abilities an opportunity to participate in their favorite sport. Regan has been playing basketball since he was 5 years old but joined the team a few years ago. He claims his father, who passed away, is the one who nurtured his love of the game.

"His dad would just be so proud of him," Paula swooned.

The video of Regan's incredible shot may have seemed like luck, but his best friend Ben says it was all skill: "He’s making that shot every day at Lifetime (Fitness), I was just waiting for it in a game."
