Trump fires back at McChrystal over 'immoral' remark: He 'got fired like a dog by Obama'

President Trump on Tuesday fired back at retired Army Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal, who had recently called him a liar and characterized him as immoral.

“‘General’ McChrystal got fired like a dog by Obama. Last assignment a total bust,” Trump said in a tweet. “Known for big, dumb mouth. Hillary lover!”

During an interview with ABC News, McChrystal declared that he would not accept a job with the Trump administration if he were offered one, adding, “I think it’s important for me to work for people who I think are basically honest, who tell the truth as best they know it.”

And when correspondent Martha Raddatz asked if he thought Trump was a liar, McChrystal said, “I don’t think he tells the truth.”

Raddatz followed up by asking if the retired general thinks Trump is immoral, and McChrystal responded, “I think he is.”

McChrystal led U.S. troops in Afghanistan under former President Obama but resigned in 2010 after being featured in a ‘Rolling Stone’ profile where negative comments were made about Joe Biden and other officials.
