Lions pull off meaningless but still cool fake field goal for a TD

Hey, it’s Week 17, time to get crazy. The Detroit Lions, long ago eliminated from any kind of postseason consideration, squared off in Green Bay against the Packers, who surely did not expect to be wrapping up their season this early. Already posted to a 7-0 lead, the Lions set up for what appeared to be a routine field goal when … trickeration!

Yep, that’s Matt Prater finding Levine Toilolo in the end zone for a touchdown, and then immediately kicking the extra point afterward. Best part of this? Former NFL punter Pat McAfee going full WWE announcer, glorying in Prater’s moment.

Exceptional. Shame it doesn’t mean a thing in the grand scheme of things, but still, a nice moment nonetheless.
