Melania Trump is one of America's 'most admired' women: Gallup poll

First lady Melania Trump has been named one of America’s “Most Admired” women, according to a recent Gallup poll.

4% of the respondents to the poll opted for the first lady, putting her comfortably in the top five in a tie with Hillary Clinton.

Former first lady Michelle Obama claimed the top spot and was followed by Oprah Winfrey in second.

Others in the top ten included Queen Elizabeth, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, comedian Ellen DeGeneres, Nikki Haley, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, and human rights activist Malala Yousafzai.

Gallup conducted the poll from December 3 through December 12.

It has been asking Americans to name their most admired woman and man since 1946.
