Democrat won't rule out 2020 presidential run

If he is the best candidate to beat President Trump, Bernie Sanders says he will probably run in 2020.

He told New York Magazine, "If there’s somebody else who appears who can, for whatever reason, do a better job than me, I’ll work my ass off to elect him or her."

But also added, "If it turns out that I am the best candidate to beat Donald Trump, then I will probably run.”

Sanders also said on MSNBC’s PoliticsNation with Al Sharpton that running for president also impacts your family, and he wants to make sure that he is the strongest candidate that could defeat Donald Trump.

Sanders was beaten by Hillary Clinton in the 2016 Democratic primaries and, according to The Hill, is also one of the most outspoken critics of President Trump.
