Nebraska scored on its opening drive against Ohio State. The 12-play, 75-yard drive was fantastic. The ensuing kickoff was not.

Punter Caleb Lightbourn was apparently going to try an onside kick to his left. But he nearly whiffed on the attempt and the kick hilariously failed. It went a whole yard after it hit his foot a second time.

Here’s another angle.

It’s not the first time that Lightbourn has had a hilarious for us and bad for him moment this season. This is what happened against Purdue.

Ohio State didn’t score after the kickoff. But the Buckeyes blocked Nebraska’s following punt for a safety and then scored on its next possession to take the lead.
