Tom Brady hilariously makes fun of himself for failed block attempt against Bills on Instagram
Quarterbacks — especially 41-year-old quarterbacks — aren’t generally known for their blocking.
Credit Tom Brady, though. He certainly gave it an effort on Monday night in their 25-6 win over the Buffalo Bills.
Early in the first quarter, Brady tossed the ball to Julian Edelman in the backfield. He then attempted to block Bills linebacker Lorenzo Alexander, but was — naturally — flattened right on his back.

While the Patriots got the first down, Brady’s block isn’t one he’ll likely want to remember for very long.
“I was like a speed bump,” Brady told Boston.com. “I wouldn’t say that was necessarily a block. I just tried to get in Lorenzo Alexander’s way, but he’s a big, strong guy I’ll tell you that.”
It didn’t end there, though.
Brady made fun of himself for the failed block in an Instagram video on Tuesday morning, where he started out talking about the big win and looking ahead to their matchup next week against the Green Bay Packers.
The video then cut to the play where Brady attempted to block for Edelman, and you can hilariously relive Brady’s “block.”
It’s good to see that Brady still has his sense of humor and is steering into the curve.
And in reality, he can’t be that upset. The play worked, after all.
“It’s my assignment, actually,” Brady told Boston.com. “It was just good to get Julian around there. I think that was a third down play, too. Anything you got to do to gain yards, get third down conversions, and win the game — that’s what is most important.”
