Rich get richer: Rams acquire Dante Fowler Jr. from Jaguars
The Los Angeles Rams made multiple moves this offseason to bolster their defense.
Midway through the season, as the NFL’s only undefeated team, the Rams are still adding.
Los Angeles is acquiring defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. from the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars announced that the Rams are sending a 2019 third-round pick and 2020 fifth-round pick to Jacksonville to get Fowler, the third pick in the 2015 draft.
Fowler has been a disappointment relative to his high draft spot: he missed his entire rookie season due to a torn ACL, and while he has played in 33 games since, he has started just one game in his career, which came in 2016.
He has two sacks, 10 quarterback hits, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in seven games this season.
The Jaguars suspended Fowler for the regular-season opener after he got into a practice fight with teammate Yannick Ngakoue.
