Report: Jared Kushner and Saudi Crown Prince communicated via WhatsApp

White House Senior Advisor Jared Kushner reportedly communicated with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman via WhatsApp.

A new CNN report claimed that the President’s son-in-law's close ties with the Saudi Prince have come under increased scrutiny after the disappearance of Saudi Journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

After national security staffers expressed their concern on their relationship, Kushner reportedly admitted to others within the Trump team that he has conversations via private channels with the Crown Prince.

A White House spokesperson told the Hill that Kushner, "has always meticulously followed protocols and collaborated with colleagues regarding the relationship with (bin Salman) and all of the other foreign officials with whom he interacts.”

Just last week Kushner and National Security Adviser John Bolton spoke to bin Salman on the phone to find out more information on Khashoggi’s disappearance.

Turkish officials say they believe the journalist was killed on orders from Saudi leadership in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

The New York Times reports leaked audio tapes document Khashoggi’s brutal killing. President Trump has requested audio and video from Turkish officials in connection to Khashoggi’s disappearance.
