There’s been an uptick in first lady Melania Trump’s favorability rating.
CNN noted Friday, based on its poll conducted by SSRS, “The first lady’s favorable number stands at 54%, up three points from June. Her unfavorable ranking stayed about the same, at 30%.”
“The new poll numbers indicate Trump’s second-highest favorability rating in CNN polling, three points down from 57% in a May poll,” the outlet added.
The survey, involving 1,009 adult participants, was taken from October 4-7 during the first lady’s solo international trip to Africa.
“An amazing stop in the ‘warm heart of Africa’ last week. The staff & children @ Chipala Primary School were filled w/ enthusiasm for education, key to success for generations to come. Thank u #Malawi for warm welcome,” Melania Trump wrote in a tweet about her trip.
President Trump also commented on the first lady’s travels, tweeting: “Our country’s great First Lady, Melania, is doing really well in Africa. The people love her, and she loves them! It is a beautiful thing to see.”
