Report: Impeachment of Brett Kavanaugh already being discussed if he's confirmed

Impeachment is again being talked about in Democratic circles, but it’s not centered around President Trump. They’re reportedly aiming the impeachment discussion around Brett Kavanaugh.

Democratic operatives tell Axios that Kavanaugh’s impeachment, if he gets a seat on the Supreme Court, will be a big campaign issue in 2020.

According to the site, a well known Democratic strategist says the “only question is who calls for it first.” Meanwhile, a Republican close to the Senate majority and the White House told Axios, “Impeachment of Trump and Kav will be an animating issue on both sides.”

This comes after a marathon day of hearings on Capitol Hill with testimonies from both Kavanaugh and one of his accusers, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford. “I am here today not because I want to be. I am terrified. I am here because I believe it is my civic duty to tell you what happened to me while Brett Kavanaugh and I were in high school.”

Kavanaugh defending himself passionately against what he calls a circus. "This confirmation process has become a national disgrace.you have replaced 'advice and consent' with 'search and destroy'.

Trump tweeted his support for his nominee, “Judge Kavanaugh showed America exactly why I nominated him.”
