Police: Swing set collapses, kills 4-year-old boy at Airbnb rental home
A swing set collapsed and killed a 4-year-old boy, according to Police in Australia.
The boy and his family reportedly rented a house on Airbnb. He and several other children played on the swing set, which authorities say was homemade.
According to The Courier Mail, authorities say it then collapsed and the boy died from serious head injuries.
According to Newsweek the swing set is now being looked at by Workplace Health and Safety.
Queensland Police Sergeant Brad McMeniman told Newsweek, “It’s just one of those things where you have to be aware of your surroundings and the equipment you’re on,' and warned parents to always check equipment.
An Airbnb representative for Australia and New Zealand told Daily Mail Australia they were “deeply saddened by this tragic incident.”
