Trump lashes out over lack of wall funding in 'ridiculous' spending bill

President Trump took to Twitter on Thursday over the lack of border security funding in the spending bill that the Senate passed recently.

“I want to know, where is the money for Border Security and the WALL in this ridiculous Spending Bill, and where will it come from after the Midterms? Dems are obstructing Law Enforcement and Border Security. REPUBLICANS MUST FINALLY GET TOUGH!” Trump wrote.

The Senate passed the $854 billion spending bill Tuesday in a 93-7 vote.

The Washington Post noted: “The legislation would not increase funding for the Department of Homeland Security, which funds construction of the wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.”

Trump has continued to push for the border wall despite funding challenges.

“When will Republican leadership learn that they are being played like a fiddle by the Democrats on Border Security and Building the Wall? Without Borders, we don’t have a country. With Open Borders, which the Democrats want, we have nothing but crime! Finish the Wall!” Trump tweeted last week.
