Woman set on fire, bashed in head with hammer by boyfriend dies three months later

A woman set on fire and bashed in the head with a hammer by her boyfriend on the Upper West Side three months ago has died of her injuries, police said Monday.

Alicia Avery, 32, was left with burns across 90% of her body and a fractured skull after Larry McGloster, 26, allegedly attacked her inside his apartment in the Frederick Douglass Houses June 12.

She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Her boyfriend was arrested later that day after a brief manhunt.

Avery managed to cling to life for three months before dying Thursday, cops said. Her death has been ruled a homicide.

McGloster is being held without bail in Manhattan Detention Center on charges of attempted murder, assault and arson. He’s due back in court Oct. 11 and will likely face upgraded charges because of Avery’s death.
