Report: Trump ‘can’t stand’ Jeff Sessions’ Southern accent

President Trump has certainly made it clear that he deeply resents Attorney General Jeff Sessions for recusing himself from the Russia matter. It appears that he doesn’t care much for Sessions’ Southern accent, either.

Politico reported on Thursday that Trump has griped “to aides and lawmakers” about it and said “that Sessions isn’t a capable defender of the president on television — in part because he ‘talks like he has marbles in his mouth.’”

While the president has long expressed his frustration with the attorney general, his statements on the matter have become harsher and more frequent in recent times, calling Sessions, “weak,” “scared stiff and Missing in Action,” notes the New York Times.

That escalation has prompted a great deal of speculation that the attorney general will soon be fired and concern about how his replacement will handle the Russia investigation.
