Which airports, days and airlines will experience the most delays on Labor Day weekend

Going somewhere this Labor Day weekend? If it's by plane, pay close attention so you don’t spend most of your time waiting for a flight delay.

RewardExpert collected five years of flight data from the Department of Transportation to predict which airports, what dates and which airlines are most likely to experience delays.

The worst traveling days are always the Friday before Labor Day and the Tuesday after. You have better chances of flying on time if you travel on the actual weekend.

And let’s just say I hope your destination is Hawaii, because Honolulu us the best airport to fly in or out of, followed by Salt Lake City and Minneapolis.

But if you are in New York, find a good spot to crash at the airport because both La Guardia and Newark ranked as the worst airports in the country for flight delays.

Other airports to most likely experience travel troubles are San Francisco, New Orleans and Boston.

Lastly the airlines that have performed the best on Labor Day weekend are Alaska Airlines, Delta and Hawaiian.
