Photos of the week: 8/17 - 8/24

The body of missing college student Mollie Tibbetts was found this week in Iowa. The 20-year-old went missing in her small, rural hometown on July 18 after going out for a jog. Cristhian Bahena Rivera has been charged with her murder. Investigators believe Rivera had seen Tibbetts running in the past and they used surveillance video to track him down. Prosecutors claimed Rivera was in the country illegally, but the 24-year-old's attorney challenged that allegation.

Other major headlines of the week included Paul Manafort being found guilty on eight counts of tax and bank fraud, Michael Cohen pleading guilty in hush money scheme and Christopher Watts being charged with the murders of his wife and two daughters in Colorado.
