'El Mencho' dethrones 'El Chapo' now as most wanted drug lord

There is a new most wanted drug lord.

Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, known as "El Mencho," has been named the most wanted drug lord in North America according to Fox News.

There is now a combined $6.5 million bounty for the leader of the Jalisco New Generation cartel by Mexican Authorities and the U.S. State Department.

El Mencho, a mexican police officer turned drug lord runs the Jalisco New Generation cartel which rose rapidly in the ranks after El Chapo’s arrest in 2016.

El Chapo remains imprisoned in New York City, where he’s awaiting his November trial on murder, money laundering and drug trafficking charges.
