Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry may have finished last at the Ellie Mae Classic golf tournament, but he still managed to win the weekend. After his second round, Curry announced that he would donate $25,000 to a golfer’s wife who is battling cancer.

Steph Curry donates $25K to Scott Harrington’s wife Jenn

Scott Harrington did not participate in the tournament because he stepped away from the game to take care of his wife Jenn. She is battling Hodgkin lymphoma. Jenn Harrigton was initially diagnosed in August 2017. After intense chemotherapy, she was cancer-free last December. But doctors discovered the cancer had returned in May 2018.

Curry heard about their story, and gave $25,000 to the couple’s GoFundMe page.

Ellie Mae will also make a $15,000 donation to Harrington’s page.

How did Jenn and Scott Harrington respond to Curry’s donation?

Jenn tweeted that she was grateful for all the support she’s received. She said she and Scott will pay back all the generosity one day.

Scott thanked Curry and said he and Jenn look forward to meeting him on the golf course next year.

Steph Curry has already inspired others to donate to Jenn Harrington

A look at the couple’s GoFundMe page reveals others have been inspired by Curry to also donate to the cause. Some comments reference being influenced to donate because of Curry.

Scott and Jenn Harrington have set a $150,000 fundraising goal. They have already raised over $100,000.
