Winning $245 million Powerball ticket sold on Staten Island

It appears that a Staten Island resident has hit the jackpot.

A $245 million Powerball ticket was sold at a supermarket on Hylan Boulevard, New York State lottery officials said Saturday.

The name of the person who purchased the ticket at the Stop & Shop is not known as of Sunday morning.

The winning numbers of 5, 43, 56, 62, 68 reaped a prize of $245,600,000.00. There was also a Powerball number of 24 and a Power Play of X2.

The winner should receive about $147 million before taxes, according to reports.

Powerball is available in 44 states around the country. An Oregon resident won $150 million in June.
