How much money the PGA Championship winner receives
The PGA Championship final round is ongoing at Bellerive. We have quite the finish shaping up.
The top of the leaderboard features some of the biggest names in golf: Tiger Woods, Brooks Koepka, Justin Thomas, Jason Day and Adam Scott. Koepka and Thomas, last year’s winner, are tied for the lead.
The PGA Championship is the last of the four majors to be played, following The Masters, The U.S. Open and The Open. Whoever wins the event will take home a hefty prize.
According to Sports Illustrated, the winner takes home $1.98 million of the total $11 purse. Second place wins 1.188 million.
The first-place prize is more than Thomas won at last year’s tournament.
