Missing 12-year-old JinJing Ma 'found safe' in New York, officials say

JinJing Ma, the 12-year-old girl believed to have been abducted from Ronald Reagan National Airport in Virginia was found safe in Queens on Friday and is now with her parents.

“Thank you for sharing her poster, without your help we wouldn’t be able to bring you this fantastic news,” the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children said in a celebratory tweet Friday afternoon.

Virginia State Police and the Virginia Missing Children Clearing House issued an AMBER alert Thursday evening for Ma, who was last seen leaving the Arlington airport with an unknown woman earlier around 8:15 a.m. The pre-teen, who was visiting the United States as part of a tour group form China, had just arrived from New York when she separated from her fellow sight-seers to use the restroom.
