A Texas woman was arrested after she allegedly bit off and swallowed a piece of another woman's nose during an argument, KTRK-TV reports.

Jessica Collins, 41, was charged with assault causing bodily injury over the attack, which took place on Wednesday night. She was reportedly released from prison on bail on Monday.

The victim, identified only as Tatiana by KTRK-TV, said she was out at a bar with her next-door neighbor and Collins, who was staying with the neighbor at the time.

The group left the bar and returned to Tatiana's home later that night, where Collins allegedly requested more alcohol and cigarettes.

The victim told the station that when she asked Collins to leave her property, she became agitated and attacked her, yanking her to the ground by her hair before biting off a large chunk of Tatiana's nose off and swallowing it.

Tatiana said the incident was so traumatic she didn't realize what was happening until she was being rushed to a nearby hospital in an ambulance.

"I didn't have time to react, to push her away," said Tatiana. "I think I was trying to fight back, but I couldn't. All I could remember was the taste of blood in my mouth."

"I started calling my husband when I was in the ambulance," she continued. "I was screaming, like, 'I don't have a nose. I'm 28 years old and I don't have a nose anymore.'"

Tatiana said she urgently needs plastic surgery to fix her nose, but that she does not have health insurance and cannot afford to pay for the procedure on her own.

A friend of the victim created a GoFundMe to help cover the cost of the surgery. At the time of publication, the page had raised $4,953 of its $12,000 goal.
