UK police say no health concern after Salisbury incident

LONDON, July 12 (Reuters) - British police said on Thursday they had lifted a cordon in the English city of Salisbury that had briefly sparked concern that another person had fallen victim to the Novichok nerve agent used against Russian former spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter.

"Emergency services were called to the scene at 6.20pm this evening after concerns were raised about the welfare of a man in his 30s," Salisbury police said on its Facebook page.

"We can now confirm that there is no concern for either his health or any wider risk to the public," police added. (Reporting by David Milliken Editing by Andrew Heavens)
