Viral photo: Man proposes again with wedding ring found in ashes of burned home
Wildfires ripped through Santa Barbara County, California recently, triggering the evacuation of hundreds of people, reports the Tribune.
Ishu and Laura Rao were among them and, on Sunday, returned to the ashes of their Goleta home in search of a wedding ring that had been accidentally left behind, according to the Washington Post.
Laura remembered leaving the ring on the bathroom vanity, so the couple figured out where in the rubble that room used to be and started sifting.
According to a tweet from Santa Barbara County Fire: “She found the damaged Tiffany ring & Ishu promptly dropped to a knee and asked her to marry him again.”
