Video: Massive brawl breaks out during Australia-Philippines basketball game

Thon Maker, a 21-year-old forward for the Milwaukee Bucks, was involved in a massive brawl during an international basketball game between Australia and the Philippines today. The benches-clearing brawl broke out during the third quarter of the contest.

Rappler.com has details on what happened:

The game was halted for several minutes as referees reviewed the brawl in an OB van outside the stadium to avoid biases.

Videos of the incident are pretty unreal.

This play appears to be what started the fighting:

Several punches were thrown:

Thon Maker did a flying knee into an opposing player:

Australia was up, 79-48, at the time of the brawl. It would not be surprising if Thon Maker ends up being punished by the NBA as a result of the incident. Stay tuned.
