Lakers fans swarm Staples Center to celebrate LeBron James signing

L.A.Bron is already beloved in Hollywood.

Less than two hours after LeBron James announced his decision to sign with the Lakers, fans flocked to Staples Center to celebrate the franchise-altering decision.

In a video posted by ESPN, a group of Lakers fans gather outside the arena and scream in jubilation. A fan decked out in a gold and purple jacket interrupts the celebration and proclaims: “Thanks to LeBron, I went to Cleveland the other day.”

The fan then takes out a container of talcum powder and douses it on his and nearby fans’ hands as the group ecstatically performs James’ old “chalk toss” pregame ritual.

The group of Lakers fans then jump up and down in excitement via mosh pit-style while chanting “LBJ! LBJ! LBJ!”

It’s most likely safe to assume they weren’t chanting for former president Lyndon B. Johnson.
