‘Total double standard’: President Trump responds to Samantha Bee’s slur against Ivanka Trump
President Trump on Friday took to Twitter and slammed Samantha Bee for her controversial remark about his daughter Ivanka Trump.
“Why aren’t they firing no talent Samantha Bee for the horrible language used on her low ratings show? A total double standard but that’s O.K., we are Winning, and will be doing so for a long time to come!” Trump wrote on Twitter.

The tweet comes after Bee referred to Ivanka Trump as a “feckless c***” on her TBS show “Full Frontal with Samantha Bee.”
As CBS News notes, “Bee called Ivanka Trump the c-word toward the end of a segment about President Trump’s immigration policies…She used the slur while urging Ivanka Trump to speak to her father about policies that separate children from their parents.”
The backlash against Bee has been swift, with at least two companies pulling ads from her show.
Amid criticism, Bee issued an apology on Thursday.
“I would like to sincerely apologize to Ivanka Trump and to my viewers for using an expletive on my show to describe her last night,” Bee wrote on Twitter. “It was inappropriate and inexcusable. I crossed a line, and I deeply regret it.”
