John Boehner suggests Melania Trump looks unhappy because her husband promised her he wouldn't win

Former House Speaker John Boehner suggested on Thursday that Melania Trump often appears unhappy because she’d been assured that she’d never have to fill her current role, reports the Daily Mail

Speaking at an event in Michigan, Boehner commented, “I think Donald Trump promised Melania that he would not win, [that] she didn’t have to worry about ever living in the White House.”

“It’s probably why she doesn’t look real happy every day – well, maybe one reason,” he continued.

Boehner’s comments come as many wonder where the first lady has been for the past weeks.
