LiAngelo Ball works out for Lakers as brother Lonzo watches

Lonzo Ball was in attendance as his younger brother LiAngelo took part in a pre-draft workout for the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old LiAngelo was joined by Jaylen Adams (St. Bonaventure), Tyus Battle (Syracuse), Devon Hall (Virginia), Dusan Ristic (Arizona) and Thomas Welsh (UCLA) in the workout.

LiAngelo, the second of three basketball-playing Ball brothers, left UCLA during his freshman season for a Lithuanian professional league following his shoplifting arrest on a team trip to China. LiAngelo averaged 12.6 points per game for Vytautas Prienu this season, telling reporters the time overseas further helped him adjust to the NBA game.

"I think it prepared me a little better as far as going against grown men that care about their job every day," LiAngelo added. "Because if you are not producing out there, they will fire you quick. Every game is hard out there."

Of his exit from UCLA, LiAngelo said he doesn't remember much about the incident and has moved on. He noted how much he grew as a player in his time in Lithuania.

"Just being more mature as far as coming in and doing what you have to do and don't worry about outside stuff," he said. "More focus around the game really."

The 6-foot-5 LiAngelo said recently that he wanted to join his brother, the No. 2 overall pick in last summer's NBA draft, on the Lakers. Regarding his outspoken father LaVar Ball, who was critical of the Lakers on several occasions during Lonzo's rookie season, LiAngelo said he isn't concerned about teams avoiding him because of his dad.

"I don't worry too much about what my dad is doing," he said. "I know what I am about, I am here, playing for these guys, playing for the Lakers, that's what it's going to be."

LiAngelo isn't sure of his draft prospects, telling reporters, "Whatever team thinks that I can produce for them, that is who I am going to play for." He is expected to go undrafted next month.

LiAngelo said he has a workout scheduled with the Golden State Warriors as well.

The Lakers own the No. 25 pick in the first round of the draft, along with No. 47 in the second round.
