WR Brandon Marshall signs with Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks have signed receiver Brandon Marshall, and it was Marshall that broke the news.

The 34-year-old posted a photo of himself on Instagram; in it, he’s wearing a neon-green Seahawks shirt with the number 12, the one associated with the team’s fans, “The 12s” or 12th men.

(Twelve is also the number of NFL seasons Marshall has played without one of his teams making a playoff appearance…)

He captioned the photo “Let’s go.” In another picture, Marshall wrote that he’s “always wanted to play in front of these fans.”

ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted that Marshall agreed to a one-year deal with a maximum value of $2 million if all incentives are hit.

Marshall spent last season with the New York Giants, but played in only five games after suffering a season-ending ankle injury against the Chargers. He had 18 catches for 154 yards to that point.

The Seahawks are the sixth team Marshall has played for in his career.
