Report: Glen 'Big Baby' Davis arrested for alleged felony assault that left man hospitalized

Glen “Big Baby” Davis has been arrested and charged with a felony assault that left the alleged victim hospitalized with multiple broken bones in his face and ribs, TMZ reports.

The alleged assault took place in April outside a West Hollywood night club. Davis allegedly almost hit the man with his car, and when the man confronted the former NBA player, Davis, listed at 6-9, 289 pounds in his playing days, allegedly picked him up and slammed him on the concrete, according to TMZ.

Report: Glen Davis surrendered, released on bond

TMZ reported at the time that Davis was considered a person of interest in the case. TMZ now reports that Davis turned himself into law enforcement on Friday and was released on a $50,000 bond.

Davis played in the NBA from 2007 to 2015 and is best known for being a role player on the 2008 champion Boston Celtics.

Not Glen Davis’ first brush with the law

This is not his first run-in with the law this year. In March, news broke that Davis was charged for allegedly having around a quarter-pound of marijuana and more than $92,000 in cash in a Maryland hotel room.

Davis responded to the news of that arrest by posting a video on Instagram of himself eating chicken on a private jet next to a briefcase full of cash adorned by his NBA championship ring.

“Don’t believe all that [expletive] on the internet,” Davis said on the video. “I will have my day in court. They’re just mad ’cause a black man got money, man. Just trying to keep a black man down.”
