Michael Cohen threatened The Onion with cease-and-desist letter

President Trump’s attack dog once sank his teeth into The Onion.

Michael Cohen sent the satirical site a cease-and-desist letter in 2013 for a piece written as his Trump Organization client and it went unnoticed until recently, the publication revealed Monday.

The story in question was titled “When You’re Feeling Low, Just Remember I’ll Be Dead in About 15 Or 20 Year.”

Cohen threatened legal action and demanded that the site remove the article, without acknowledging that it was meant in jest.

“Let me begin by stating the obvious ... that the commentary was not written by Mr. Trump,” Cohen wrote, according to the long-lost email. “The article is an absolutely disgusting piece that lacks any place in journalism; even in your Onion."

A spokesman for The Onion, sent through its parent company Fusion Media Group, assured the Daily News the email was “indeed real.”

Cohen, on Monday night, disagreed.

“Maybe all of you #haters #trolls missed the memo but @TheOnion is a news “SATIRE” Organization. That means...it’s not real! #GetALife,” Cohen tweeted.

The Onion, finally responding to Cohen’s five-year-old demand, said the editorial board would be happy to nix it “in exchange for influence over the president’s decision-making.”

"We implore Mr. Cohen to meet with us without delay," the site wrote in its classic satiric voice. "We are happy to schedule around his upcoming court appearances."
