Here's what we know about Melania Trump's 'secret' apartment: report

With nearly 100 pages of President Trump’s annual financial disclosure forms, you might have missed some key insights into first lady Melania Trump, mainly her secret apartment.

You can see right here on the 4th line, Melania is the owner of apartment 33H in Trump Tower. According to City Realty, that’s a modest 1 bedroom 1.5 bath apartment, purchased from the building’s condo board in January of 2016 for nearly $1.5 million. According to Business Insider, it’s the only apartment the condo board ever bought, indicating it may have belonged to the building’s superintendent.

The secret apartment comes in addition to the Trump family’s penthouse, taking up the top three floors of the building.

The Real Deal speculates Melania may be using the unit as a library.

Another curious revelation from the financial documents, Melania’s only source of income came from Getty Images. Royalties totaling anywhere between $100,000 to $1 million.
