Melania Trump says she’s 'feeling great' in first tweet since surgery

Days after reports of her kidney surgery, Melania Trump tweeted that she’s “feeling great.”

“A sincere thank you to Walter Reed Medical Unit @WRBethesda & to all who have send good wishes & prayers! I am feeling great & look forward to getting back home @WhiteHouse soon,” the first lady wrote on Twitter Wednesday.

Her communications office issued a statement on Monday, providing details on the procedure.

“This morning, First Lady Melania Trump underwent an embolization procedure to treat a benign kidney condition. The procedure was successful and there were no complications,” the statement noted. “Mrs. Trump is at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and will likely remain there for the duration of the week. The First Lady looks forward to a full recovery so she can continue her work on behalf of children everywhere.”

President Trump has also posted updates on Melania Trump this week.

“Our great First Lady is doing really well. Will be leaving hospital in 2 or 3 days. Thank you for so much love and support!” the president wrote on Tuesday.
