New England zoo names adorable baby goat Nick Foles after losing Super Bowl bet
Before the Eagles beat the Patriots in February’s Super Bowl, zoos in Philadelphia and Boston made a bet.
Zoo New England, propping up Patriots quarterback Tom Brady as the greatest of all time (G.O.A.T.), put up the naming rights for its next-born goat against the next baby goat at the Philadelphia Zoo.
“In New England and beyond, it’s a known fact that Tom Brady is the GOAT,” Zoo New England CEO John Linehan said in a statement before the game. “This challenge with the Philadelphia Zoo is the perfect way to have some fun and friendly competition heading into the big game on Sunday.”
One more adorable accolade for Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles
Well, we all know how the game turned out. The Eagles stunned the Patriots, 41-33 behind 374 yards passing yards, four touchdowns and an interception from Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles.
And now Zoo New England has one of its newest members, a two-week old Nigerian dwarf goat. His name is Nick Foles.

Isn’t he cute?
While some Patriots fans may seethe at the idea of the kid’s name, it would take a truly hardened heart to not smile at the sight of Nick Foles.
