The Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees will play two games at London's Olympic Stadium in June of 2019, according to a report from the Associated Press.
Major League Baseball reportedly intends to announce the games, which are set to be played June 29-30, next week. London mayor Sadiq Khan has scheduled a news conference with baseball commissioner Rob Manfred for Tuesday, though the topic of discussion wasn't announced.
The games will be the first MLB regular-season contests to take place in Europe. The Red Sox will be the designated home team for both games.
MLB announced earlier this week that the Seattle Mariners and Oakland Athletics will open the 2019 season with two games in Japan, and an "All-Star Tour" with Nippon Professional Baseball in Japan will take place over six games from Nov. 8-15.
