Former Redskins DT A.J. Francis blasts franchise, 'racist' logo after joining rival Giants

A.J. Francis was a part-time player for the Washington Redskins last season.

The defensive tackle saw action in six games and tallied 18 total tackles. The team released the 27-year-old journeyman on Monday, and he was quickly picked up by the rival New York Giants.

Francis may not have a big profile, but he’s not shy about his feelings on being released. He posted this photo of himself literally laughing out loud on Instagram on Wednesday with a slew of hashtags attached blasting his former employer.

He clearly feels slighted by Washington’s release and has the dates circled for a pair of NFC East matchups next season.

But the most stinging blow delivered by Francis cuts at the franchise’s most sensitive and controversial ongoing storyline. #AndYourLogoIsRacist

That should get the attention of Washington fans who may or may not have had any idea who he was before Wednesday.
