'Very sick or very dumb': Trump again lashes out at Comey

President Trump on Friday again lashed out at former FBI Director James Comey, referring to him as “either very sick or very dumb.”

“Is everybody believing what is going on. James Comey can’t define what a leak is. He illegally leaked CLASSIFIED INFORMATION but doesn’t understand what he did or how serious it is. He lied all over the place to cover it up. He’s either very sick or very dumb. Remember sailor!” Trump tweeted.

The tweet comes after Comey said in an interview with Fox News’ “Special Report” anchor Bret Baier that he doesn’t consider giving his memos to a friend a “leak.”

According to The Hill, at a congressional hearing, “Comey said he gave a memo he wrote detailing his conversations with Trump to Columbia University Law School professor Daniel Richman. Whether Comey’s release of the memo constituted a ‘leak’ has been a point of contention for the former FBI chief in recent days.”

Comey also asserted in his Fox News interview that his memos contained unclassified information; however, the Wall Street Journal recently reported that “the Justice Department inspector general is…conducting an investigation into classification issues related to the Comey memos.”

Trump has often tweeted about Comey, but the pace seems to have picked up since the recent release of Comey’s book, “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership.”

In the book, the former FBI director describes Trump as “untethered to truth” and compares him to a mafia boss.

Comey was abruptly fired by Trump in May of last year.
