Midwest storm claims second Twins-White Sox game

The Minnesota Twins and Chicago White Sox won't play for a second straight day as a result of the snowstorm ravaging the Midwest.

The Twins announced Saturday's game, scheduled for a 1:10 p.m. start local time, has been postponed. The make-up date will be announced at a later time.

Friday evening's game between the two teams was also postponed.

This is the third home game the Twins have had to postpone this week, as last Sunday's matchup against the Seattle Mariners also had to be pushed back due to inclement weather. The teams will make up the game on May 14 at 6:10 p.m.

And it's likely Sunday's afternoon game against the White Sox will also be postponed. A winter storm warning is in effect for Minneapolis until 7 p.m. local time Sunday night, with up to 15 inches of snow expected in the area, according to The Weather Channel.
