Report: WR Landry, Browns reach 5-year, $75M deal

Wide receiver Jarvis Landry has agreed to a five-year, $75.5 million deal with the Cleveland Browns that would replace the $16 million franchise tag he signed before the Miami Dolphins traded him this offseason, according to USA Today Sports.

The new deal will reportedly guarantee the 25-year-old Landry $47 million.

The Browns traded fourth- and seventh-round picks to Miami to acquire Landry, who earned $894,000 when he led the NFL with 112 receptions in 2017 but fell short of 1,000 yards by 13. He also caught a career-high nine touchdowns.

In 2017, all Browns wide receivers combined for 134 receptions and seven receiving TDs.

While his 400 receptions are the most ever by a player through four NFL seasons, Landry's 10.1 yards per catch is the second-lowest average in NFL history among wide receivers with at least 250 career catches (Danny Amendola, 9.7).
