Multiple dead after plane crash on Arizona golf course

At least two people have died after a small plane crashed at a golf course in Arizona.

The aircraft came down on the Champions course around 9 p.m. Monday night shortly after taking off from a local airport, according to police in Scottsdale.

Multiple people were dead in the crash and police said there appeared to be no survivors, but did not give a number of victims.

It was not immediately clear what caused the plane, which Arizona Central reported was a Piper PA24, to come down and catch fire.
