Texas woman asks that Ted Cruz take a DNA test 'to prove' he's 'human'

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) was issued a bizarre challenge on Tuesday night when a constituent asked him if he would be willing to take a DNA test to prove he’s human.

Appearing stunned by the inquiry, Cruz awkwardly laughed off the question before offering a canned political response.

“One of the great things about our democratic system is that we can treat each other with respect and civility,” Cruz said.
