Johnny Manziel makes eye-opening admission on Dan Patrick Show

Johnny Manziel’s comeback attempt continued this morning with an appearance on The Dan Patrick Show.

Manziel has been making the rounds at workouts and pro days and is set to play in the new Spring League the next two weekends. He’s also been appearing on various television and radio programs.

This morning, Manziel was on with Dan Patrick, and he made a stunning admission. Reflecting on his time with the Cleveland Browns, Johnny Football admitted he didn’t have a firm grasp of the X’s and O’s of football.

Manziel said if the Browns “did any of their homework” they would have realized his work ethic wasn’t what it should have been as well.

Manziel went on to explain that his lack of understanding largely stemmed from his unfamiliarity with a pro style scheme.

He had played in a wide-open spread system at Texas A&M, where his freewheeling style was able to thrive.

This is a candid admission from Manziel, and it is sure to raise a few eyebrows. It is also something he’s going to need to change if he gets another shot in the NFL.
