Astros need 3 staffers, leaf blower to unveil World Series banner

Houston, we have a problem.

The Astros ran into a bit of trouble attempting to unveil their World Series banner prior to the team’s home opener on Monday.

After displaying the Commissioner's Trophy and rolling out a large championship banner encompassing the entire baseball diamond, the moment everyone was waiting for finally arrived: unveiling the World Series banner.

Unfortunately the black cover masking the banner refused to come off.

The Astros needed three staffers, one poll and a leaf blower to finally get the job done. The entire painful-to-watch process took nearly a full minute.

Luckily, players appeared to be amused by the situation with Jose Altuve and others struggling not to laugh throughout the botched ceremony.

In the Astros' defense, they don't have much practice unveiling World Series banners with the 2017 World Series being the team's first championship. If Houston ends up repeating as World Series champions this season, hopefully this experience will make for a smoother banner reveal.
