SEE IT: Giancarlo Stanton crushes laser home run in first at-bat

TORONTO — Giancarlo Stanton began his Yankee career with a bang.

In his first at-bat as a Bomber, Stanton blasted a two-run homer to right off Blue Jays lefty J.A. Happ to put his new team up 2-0 with one out in the first inning at Rogers Centre.

The 426-foot shot, which had an exit velocity of 117.3 mph, prompted radio play-by-play man John Sterling to use this as his call: “Giancarlo, no si puo stoparlo,” which in Italian means “You cannot be stopped.”

Stanton, who led the majors with 59 home runs last season en route to earning NL MVP honors, clubbed his home run immediately following a three-pitch strikeout from fellow slugger Aaron Judge.
