Married elementary school teacher is accused of having a sexual relationship with a student

An Arizona elementary school teacher has been arrested for alleged sexual misconduct with a student, according to police.

Police say the 13-year-old boy’s parents used an app to uncover illicit texts with 27-year-old Brittany Zamora.

CBS News reports the app alerted the parents that specific keywords had been used, so the parents went to the principal to report their allegations.

Police say the text messages indicated an “ongoing” relationship and sexual activity both on and off school property.

The boy told police Zamora started flirting with him in a classroom chat group and eventually sent him naked pictures of herself.

Court documents say the boys father reported to police that Zamora and her husband were harassing him over the phone, alleging asking him not to call police.

Local station KPHO reports Zamora was booked on two counts of molestation of a child, one count of furnishing harmful material and nine counts of sexual conduct with a minor.
