Another shakeup within the Trump administration captured headlines this week. It was announced on Wednesday that White House communications director Hope Hicks will be resigning from her position. President Donald Trump's longest-serving aide is expected to leave within the next few weeks. Sarah Huckabee Sanders said her departure was not connected to her closed-door meeting with the House Intelligence Committee.

Other major headlines of the week included a controversial AR-15 blessing ceremony at a Pennsylvania church, the "Beast from the East" storm that bombarded Europe with snow and frigid temperatures and students returning to class after the deadly school shooting in Florida.
